InRush Current Limiters EPCOS / TDK InRush Current Limiters are designed to limit the current at turn on by high resistance when they are cold. These current limiters provide reduced power as the resistance decrease by a factor of 10 to 50. The InRush current limiters handle much better inrush current than fixed resistors with the same power consumption. These current limiters are used in applications such as switch-mode power supplies and soft-start motors.
