AD5449 is a CMOS, 12bit, dual-channel, current output digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). An integrated feedback resistor (RFB) provides temperature tracking and full-scale voltage output when combined with an external current-to-voltage precision amplifier. This DAC uses a double-buffered, 3-wire serial interface that is compatible with SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™ and most DSP interface standards. In addition, a serial data out (SDO) pin allows daisy-chaining when multiple packages are used. On power-up, the internal shift register and latches are filled with 0s, and the DAC outputs are at zero scale. Typical applications are portable battery-powered applications, waveform generators, analogue processing, instrumentation applications, programmable amplifiers and attenuators, digitally controlled calibration, programmable filters and oscillators, composite video, ultrasound, gain, offset and voltage trimming.
• Data readback allows the user to read the contents of the DAC register via the SDO pin
• Applied external reference input voltage (VREF) determines the full-scale output current
• 2.5V to 5.5V supply operation
• 4-quadrant multiplication, power-on reset, guaranteed monotonic, daisy-chain mode, readback function
• Relative accuracy is ±1LSB (VDD=2.5V to 5.5V, VREF=10V, IOUT2=0V, -40°C to +125°C)
• Reference input voltage is ±10V (VDD=2.5V to 5.5V, VREF=10V, IOUT2=0V, -40°C to +125°C)
• Reference-multiplying bandwidth is 10MHz (VREF=±3.5Vp-p, VDD=2.5 to 5.5V, IOUT2=0V, -40 to +125°C)
• 16-lead TSSOP package
• Temperature rating range from -40°C to +125°C
